A HULME WITH A VIEW

I never squatted in the old Hulme crescents (I know a few people who did), but I did go to Hulme's Russell Club, which morphed into The Factory at the same time as Factory Records formed and which changed Manchester and the world forever.

And look at it now! It's even got a community garden centre, providing lots of plants for those balconies which now have 'a Hulme with a view!'
